32" faux chain Damascus barrels with solid concave tapering game rib with both front and mid beads, Colt information in rib. Doll's head rib extension, dovetail lump barrels. Splinter forearm with ebony tip, Deely style latch release with point pattern checkering, and light wrigglework engraving on exterior iron. Interior with matching serial numbers on wood and iron and an additional star stamp in wood. Case colored boxlock action with light wriggle work engraving, automatic safety with "SAFE" ahead of tab. Underside of action with "PATENTED / AUG. 22. SEPT. 19. 1882". Trigger guard engraved en suite with serial number on tang. Restrained straight grained walnut pistol grip stock with point-and-wave checkering in 2 panels at wrist, brass oval in toe line, hard rubber buttplate with Colt logo. Housed in a canvas fleece-lined LOM style carrying case. CONDITION: Overall very good, with Damascus largely crisp, fading in areas primarily around forearm, and some surface darkness. Forearm very good with some handling marks and abraded heads but strong and free of cracks or chips. Case colors on action have faded on underside from carrying in the field, but sides are vibrant. Stocks are very good with an additional layer of varnish, some handling marks and minor gouges, one chip on right side of comb. Mechanically fine, bores are clean with some minor orange peel. Case very good as newer.
