Meissen German porcelain large hinged box with hand-painted scenes in exquisite detail on all four sides and lid. Embossed scenes include gladiator on lid, horses chasing wild boar on back, angels shooting arrows on the front, execution scene with a man tied to tree on one side and angels with reclining nudes on the other. A magnificent piece of German porcelain. Early crossed swords mark.
