Utilized by an assortment of European countries prior and during the early part of World War II, the Pak 36 proved itself particularly effective against light tanks, but also found itself quickly obsolete once heavier, more well armored tanks started being deployed onto the battlefields. This example's breechblock is marked "Feuer" (Fire) and Sicher" (Secure) at the rear, with numerous "(Eagle)/ 785" waffenamts present overall. 2 metal armorers kits are included, with 1 being complete with all of its small components, parts, springs, tools, as well as the original Danish parts list on the interior of the lid. The 2nd armorers kit retains the majority of its parts and tools, with the oiler bottle, oil funnel, screw drivers, staufferfett container, several springs, and a couple of small components missing. Large wood crate marked "Beskytellsesror m.m. til Instruktionsskydning" (Protection Tube for Instructional Shooting) retains several sections of cleaning rods and 2 brush heads for the cannon bore. Medium sized wood box bears a brass data plate that bears a Danish "(Crown)/ HTK" proof above "Nr.3/ Akkumulator kasse for Lobspejle" (Accumulator box for lobe mirror). Small wood box bears a zinc data plate on the lid that is stamped with a Danish "(Crown)/ HV" and contains a 2x Carl Zeiss scope for the Bofors 37mm anti-tank gun and is marked with a matching Danish "(Crown)/ HV" above "37mmKANm/38" above "NR. 39", as well as the Carl Zeiss logo and serial number. Small metal box contains a scope with a Danish "(Crown)/ HV" proof followed by "Sigtekikkert til/ 37mm L/45 pvk.m 34 ST Nr. 23/ 37mm L/50 ffk.m1937". CONDITION: Breechblock is very good, retaining most of its factory applied blue finish, exhibiting areas of silvering and gray patina from use. Exterior of metal armorers kits are poor, exhibiting cracking, and flaking to their painted finish, with areas of oxidation overall. One case's fabric strap is torn. Interiors are very good, with some tools and components exhibiting some mild age surface oxidation. Wood crates exhibit mild cracking and flaking to their exteriors, but are otherwise fine. Exterior of 2x Carl Zeiss scope shows some flaking at the edge, but is otherwise fine. Rubber eyecup is stiff and should be handled with care. Optic retains a sharp and clear image. A very nice assortment of components and accessories for the both the German Pak 36 and the Danish Fodfolkskanon M34/M37 anti-tank guns.
