Made by Hunter Arms Company, Fulton, New York in 1919. 1 of 1100 Specialty Grades made in 20 gauge, 1 of 451 with 28" barrels, and 1 of 537 with Hunter single selective trigger. 28" Nitro Steel 20-gauge barrels with matted rib, twin brass beads, ejectors, 2 - 1/2" chambers, and fixed Modified and Improved Cylinder chokes. Case hardened featherweight frame with typical floral and bird Specialty Grade engraving, 2-position safety, and Hunter One single selective trigger. Checkered walnut round knob pistol grip stock with added pad. Matching checkered walnut splinter forearm with roller latch. Comes with soft canvas case. CONDITION: Consignor states metal was refurbished by Griffin & Howe, bluing frame and restoring barrels to as new bluing condition. Stock has wear and usage scuffs and has been shortened for addition of pad. Usual Smith cracks behind locks that seem stable. Excellent bores and mechanics. Great wet weather bird gun or restoration project.
