Lot consists of: (A) Circa 1740 indenture dated to the "Thirteenth year of the Reigne of our Sovereign Lord George" (King George II). The manuscript is constructed of vellum and is hand written with ink. CONDITION: The vellum exhibits foxing and other watermarks, most notably on the reverse. Several areas of the writing have faded and is hard to read in some areas. The indenture exhibits scattered blemishes, edge wear, light tears, and obvious fold lines which are typical of old indentures. (B) 1839 dated indenture pertaining to the marriage of Daniel Michael Donoghue and Elizabeth Donoghue. Daniel was a Lieutenant Colonel in the 22nd Regiment of Light Dragoons and is noted as such in the document. The manuscript is constructed of vellum and is hand written with ink. CONDITION: The vellum exhibits foxing and other watermarks, writing remains legible. The indenture exhibits scattered blemishes, edge wear, light tears, and obvious fold lines which are typical of old indentures.
