German World War II Luftwaffe officer's sword in standard configuration with "SMF, Solingen" marked blade. Complete with blue leather wrapped alloy scabbard. CONDITION: Blade is bright with staining and light freckling throughout. Blue leather washer is present. Fittings have moderate wear, and swastikas retain most of their gold finish with a mellow patina. Blue leather wire wrapped grip has light wear, with wire intact and exhibiting patina. Blue leather wrapped alloy scabbard displays wear with scrapes and scuffs. Nickel fittings exhibit a nice patina with various blemishes. Blue leather hanger exhibits light wear.
