Always looking for new ways to distribute cards, Topps ventured into basketball rack packs for the first and only time in 1973. Printed in much shorter supply than baseball cards, this is one of very few racks that has survived in its original unopened state, as issued 50 years ago. Featuring players from the NBA and ABA before the 1976 merger, this seldom seen rack also has Rockets legend Rudy Tomjanovich, on his way to 5 all-star selections before his HOF coaching career, which included 2 championships and an Olympic Gold medal, and Calvin Murphy. Tuck this one away for another 50 years or open it up and make the other surviving examples that much rarer!
