Made by Winchester Repeating Arms in 1953. Blued 24" Winchester Proof Steel barrel with hooded ramp front sight (missing hood) and incorrect period rear Lyman 66W (should be 22G with low comb stock) in the desirable .257 Roberts caliber. Matted finish Type III action with matching electropenciled bolt with earlier solid handle and blued steel detachable floorplate. Checkered walnut pistol grip low comb stock with checkered steel buttplate and bow type sling swivels (missing). CONDITION: 90% original barrel blue with light edge wear. Action shows 90% original finish with marks from scope installation. Bolt handle has started to turn a silvery patina. Wood has what looks to be 90% original finish with some carry wear and checkering refreshed. Excellent bore with solid mechanics.
