The lot consists of approximately 54 Grand Army of the Republic encampment medals, all from various encampment events around Pennsylvania from Lebanon to Erie. These medals were worn by representatives during these GAR encampments and depict the portraits of department commanders. The dates range from the late 1800s through the early 1900s. CONDITION: The medals are mostly in good condition, with ribbons intact and functioning clutches. Several exhibit slight rubbing on the ribbons from hanging devices. Medals exhibit a pleasing patina. 2 medals are missing their ribbons. A very nice group of Pennsylvania GAR medals.
