Lot consists of: (A) British World War I Medal and insignia group named to A.T.R. Stephens, Royal Flying Corps & RAF. The medals and insignia are nicely mounted and consist of his 1914-14 Star named on reverse "2407 / 1.A.M. A.T.R STEPHENS / R.F.C.", War Medal impressed "2407 F SGT A.T. STEPHENS R.A.F.", and Victory Medal impressed "2407. F. SGT. A.T. STEPHENS. R.A.F." The group also includes RFC cap and collar insignia, buttons, and Royal Flying Corps shoulder patch. According to records, Stephens enlisted on 30 November 1914 as a Motorcyclist, then Air Mechanic 1st Class, discharged as Flight Sergeant. CONDITION: Medals and insignia exhibit a varying patina with scattered blemishes. (B) British War Medal impressed "401923 A. CPL. W. WEBSTER. R.A.F.". According to records, Webster enlisted 14 October 1914 and was transferred to the RAF 1 January 1918. CONDITION: Light patina. (C) Victory Medal impressed "23210. 2.A.M. F.S. ANDREW. R.A.F.". CONDITION: Good.
