A tastefully mounted British World War I medal group named to Lance Corporal Richard Larner, Royal Engineers. The medals consist of Larner's Military Medal impressed "463029 SPR:-L:CPL-R. LARNER. R.E.", 1914-15 Star named on reverse "414, / SPR. R. LARNER, / R.E.", War Medal impressed "414 SPR. R. LARNER. R.E.", Victory Medal impressed "414 SPR. R. LARNER. R.E.", Defence Medal, and Territorial Force Efficiency Medal impressed "463029 SPR-L. CPL-R. LARNER. R.E.". Larner's medals are confirmed on the rolls. He is listed as wounded and authorized to wear a "Wound Stripe" on 3 December 1917 most likely during the Battle of Cambrai. His Military Medal was announced on 22 July 1919 in Gazette issue 31469 on page 9361. Copies of records included. CONDITION: Medals exhibit varying patina with light wear. Military Medal and Territorial Force Efficiency Medal exhibit a darker patina.
