Lot consists of: (A) British World War I medal group named to Ernest V. Edwards, Royal Navy. Edwards' medals are nicely mounted and consist of his War Medal, impressed "J.44837 E.V. EDWARDS. TEV. R.N.", Victory Medal impressed "J.44837 E.V. EDWARDS. TEL. R.N." Unnamed Defence Medal, London Fire Brigade Medal impressed "ERNEST V. EDWARDS 1944", and Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Medal. According to included records, Edwards served aboard the HMS Repulse, 1 of the 2 Renown-class battlecruisers built for the Royal Navy. The Repulse participated in the Second Battle of Heligoland Bight and was later sunk by Japanese bombers on December 10, 1941. CONDITION: Medals exhibit varying patina with light wear. Good overall. (B) British WWI medal group named to William Jones, Royal Navy. Jones' medals consist of his War Medal, impressed "K.15216 W. JONES. S.P.O. R.N.", 1914-15 Star named on reverse "K.15216, / W.JONES, / S.P.O., R.N.", Victory Medal impressed "K.15216 W. JONES. S.P.O. R.N.", and Naval Long Service and Good Conduct Medal impressed (King George V version 1) "K.15216 1. JONES. S.P.O. H.M.S. VIVID". Copy of records included. CONDITION: Medals exhibit varying patina with light wear. Good overall.
