Lot consists of: (A) 102 pieces of letters, post cards, and ephemera related to the Carlisle Indian Industrial School in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, opened in 1879 as the first government-run boarding school for Native American children. It closed in 1918 after 39 years of operation. (B) Large format albumen photo on card stock of the entire school circa 1880s - 1890s that measures 14" x 9 - 1/2." (C) Greenwood China ceramic plate with school name. (D) Photo of the school band that measures 9" x 7." CONDITION: Paper shows commensurate age wear, smaller black and white image shows multiple creases. Overall very good.
