Standard configuration P.08 Luger manufactured by Mauser during the onset of World War II. The receiver is stamped "1939" over the chamber, with Mauser "(Eagle) / 63" waffenamts present on the right. Toggle bears Mauser's clandestine "42" manufacturer code. Metal components are salt blued, while the frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut grips. All numbers are matching, with the exception of the grips. Magazine bottom bears what appears to be a ding or a mis-stamped "2" beneath the "7". CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning at the muzzle and on the grips that show through to a gray patina. Bore exhibits moderate oxidation, with an area of pitting present at the mid-section. Grips are very good, exhibiting mild smoothing with a loss loss to the left grip panel to the rear of the safety lever.
