Made by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1884. 28" full standard less popular round barrel in .45-60 W.C.F. with Winchester address and King's Improvement markings, sheared blade front sight, and graduated flip rear notch sight. Blued action with script .45-60 caliber marking on brass lifter with plain trigger, case hardened lever and hammer, and blued full magazine. Plain walnut stocks with steel trap door buttplate (missing rod) with owner's initials stamped into wood behind tang and left side of action. CONDITION: Barrel has faded to a brown patina with edges worn silver. Action has worn to a gray patina with light surface scaling. Wood has been cleaned and light coat of oil over usage dings and marks. Poor bore with traces of rifling with good mechanics.
