Lot consists of: (A) Small silver dirk, possibly US, with dagger style blade that measures approximately 5 - 7/8". Ornate ovular scabbard keeper and silver washed hilt with pillow pommel. Grip is of ivory with center swell and features nice line decorations on each side. Scabbard is silver with carry stud. Blade and scabbard are both marked with the numbers "542". This example is Fig. 71 in "Silver Mounted Swords The Lattimer Family Collection." CONDITION: Blade exhibits delamination. Hilt features a nice patina with several cracks in the grip. Scabbard exhibits a matching patina to hilt. (B) Small silver dirk, possibly US, with dagger style blade that measures approximately 4 - 3/8". Ornate S-shaped scabbard keeper and silver washed hilt with pillow pommel. Grip is of ivory with center swell and features nice line decorations on each side. Scabbard is silver with carry stud. Blade and scabbard are both marked with the numbers "487". CONDITION: Blade exhibits a dark patina. Hilt and grip also feature a dark patina with several cracks to the grip. Scabbard exhibits a light patina with scattered blemishes. (C) Small silver dirk, possibly US, with dagger style blade that measures approximately 4 - 1/2". Ornate S-shaped scabbard keeper and silver washed hilt with pillow pommel. Grip is of ivory with center swell and features nice line decorations on each side. Blade is marked with inventory number "490". CONDITION: Blade exhibits a dark patina with scattered surface rust. Nice patina to hilt with honey patina on grip. (D) Small US silver dirk with dagger style blade that measures approximately 4 - 1/2". Ovular scabbard keeper and silver washed hilt with pillow pommel. Grip is of ivory with center swell and features nice checkering on each side. Blade decorated with foliate and patriotic motifs including a federal eagle and panoply of arms. is marked with inventory number "4?6". CONDITION: Blade exhibits a nice patina with visible decorations. Areas of surface rust. Hilt with nice patina with dark grip which exhibits a few cracks. All dirks were formerly part of the renowned John K. Lattimer Collection.
