Lot consists of: (A) A pamphlet "Speech of Hon. P. Van Trump, at New Lexington, Ohio, September 16, 1869." The top strip of the first page is torn away. The name "Johnson" and "Andrew Johnson" appears 6 times on the first and second pages. The 17th President was apparently in a doodling mood during the speech when he decided to practice writing his full name on the vertical front right margin and on the third page at the top: "Johnson Andrew Johnson / Johnson Andrew Johnson". All of the signatures are in pencil. An interesting piece and signature of the 17th President of the United States. With a James Spence Authentication Full Letter of Authenticity. CONDITION: The pamphlet exhibits blemishes that are typical of old paper including foxing, edge wear, and various other blemishes from handling and storage. (B) "Our Union" song page. CONDITION: The song page exhibits blemishes typical of old paper with noticeable foxing. PROVENANCE: Both pieces were once part of the renowned collection of Dr. John K. Lattimer.

CORRECTION: Photos updated.
