Manufactured circa 1882 with a 26" octagon barrel chambered in .38 Winchester Center Fire, full length magazine tube, aftermarket fold up front sight, and 22G type reproduction tang sight. 2-piece plain walnut stock and forearm with case hardened rifle forearm cap and shotgun buttplate. Receiver has been professionally refinished with bright case colors. Accompanied by a factory letter stating ship date of July 26, 1884 agreeing with barrel length, caliber, type, barrel type, and plain trigger. CONDITION: Very good, with barrel and magazine tube turned a blue-brown chemical patina with wear at high edges. Magazine tube dovetail has come loose. Frame and forearm cap retain vibrant case color. Stock and forearm are very good as sanded and finish added. Mechanically fine. Bore is dark.
