German Pre-war Drilling made by unknown maker in 1939 and imported by Simpson Ltd. in Illinois. Blued Krupp Steel 27 - 1/8" side by side 20 gauge 2 - 3/4" chambered Modified and Modified choked barrels with 5.6x52R (.22 Savage) caliber rifle barrel underneath. Matted rib with dovetailed rifle front sight, rear flip notch sight, and claws mounts fitted with Voightlander "SKOPAR BETA" 2.5x scope with post reticle. Coin finished sideplate action with heavy chisel game scene engraving with gold washed double triggers with unusual rear set trigger (usually front is set), unusual steel English style grip trigger guard, Greener style safety, cocking indicators, and top tang barrel selector. Refurbished checkered walnut English grip stock with added vented recoil pad. Matching checkered walnut splinter forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 95%+ barrel blue with light edge wear. Bright action finish with all gold still on triggers. Modern refurbished or possibly replaced wood in excellent condition. Excellent bores, clear optics, and good mechanics.
