Circa 1974. A Belgian made boxlock ejector shotgun with nitro proved 26" blued steel barrels fit with ejectors, both a steel bead front sight and an orange hi-visibility front sight, fit to a tapered machined ventilated rib. The barrels are choked Modified (Over) and Improved Cylinder (Under). The right side of the top barrel is marked "BROWNING SUPERPOSED SPECIAL STEEL 20 GA. SHELLS - 3" BROWNING PATENTS" while the left side of the top barrel is marked "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTA & MONTREAL P.Q. MADE IN BELGIUM". The left side of the barrel towards breech is marked "5855 V4", "**" on top barrel and "26 **-". The coin finished action is adorned with Browning's Diana grade engraving pattern of 2 mallards in flight on the right side of the action body, 5 pheasants - 4 on the ground and 1 in flight on left, 2 quail on bottom, and 2 rabbits on the trigger guard that is dual signed by the engraver "R DEWIL". The action is fit with a gold washed single selective mechanical trigger protected by a long engraved bottom tang (strap), non-auto safe, top lever that is checkered on both sides and the serial number "5855 V74" on the top tang. The nicely figured high gloss checkered pistol gripped stock is fit with a vacant stock oval and Browning buttplate. The checkered field forend is fit with Browning's traditional release mechanism. Shotgun resides in an Americase aluminum travel case. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain mostly all their bluing. Aftermarket orange hi-visibility front sight installed. Stock and forend with handling/use marks mostly on the left side of the buttstock. Case is in good condition with scuff marks on edges from use. Great gun.
CORRECTION: Center latch on case is broken.
