Circa 1989. A modern pair of light game guns with 26 - 3/4" nitro proofed blued steel chopper lump barrels. Barrels on Holland & Holland patent self-assisted opening mechanism(s) with ejectors and 2 - 3/4" chambers. Barrels are fit with Churchill styled thin and slight raised ribs, fit with round front brass bead sights and both are individually numbered "1" and "2" in gold near breech. Right barrel on both reads "Fea de Escopetas Arrieta - Elgoibar Espana". Bottoms read "Marked in Spain", "15.9". Barrel flats with Spanish proofs and marked "20-70", "A.C." and with individual serial numbers. Chokes in the number (A/1) gun are, Improved Modified in left and Improved Cylinder in right. Chokes in the number "B/2" gun are, Full in left and Modified in right. Coin finished Holland & Holland styled hand detachable sidelocks are fit with set disk strikers, gas escapes, and double triggers (fronts hinged). Actions are engraved with fine scroll. Bottom actions with fine scroll and read "FABRICA DE ARRIETA y CEA ELGOIBAR". Protective trigger guards have right hand rolled edges, are scroll engraved, and also bear a gold inlay of a fleur de lis vignette. The long bottom strap with scroll is also engraved with each gun's individual serial number. Engraved top levers are numbered individually "1" and "2" in gold and have checkered thumbs. Safe slides are engraved and checkered. "SAFE" is engraved. Guns are built with auto-safe mechanism. European walnut stocks with straight and flowed marbling are built with drop points, tight checkered English straight hand grip, and finished with cross hatch checkering at butt. Nice splinter forearms with matched checkering, engraved double point arrow pins, scroll engraved exterior iron metal, gold numbered escutcheons have checkered tipped Anson styled push button releases. Undersides of forends are with their individual serial numbers. Guns come with Beretta hard plastic travel case with barrel handguards. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels are very good with light usage/storage marks. Actions are sound. Triggers crisp and ejectors are in time. Stocks are very good with some handling marks. Forends are very good. Case is very good with slight handling and storage indications. Nice pair.
