Built between 1903 and 1913 per Westley Richards website. Barrel are fit with a matted concave tapered game rib, dovetail lumps, and ejectors. Right barrel is engraved "Westley Richards & Co" on top tube, "London" on left. Barrels with nitro proofs for 20 gauge barrels and "WESTLEY RICHARDS STEEL" insignia. Splinter forearm with Anson plunger release, point pattern checkering, plain exterior iron with light line engraving, vibrant case colors on interior, and matching serial number on wood. Case color droplock action with view proofs, serial number, and Westley Richards patent marks; drop plate blued with Westley Richards patent information. Single selective mechanical trigger with automatic safety, trigger guard blued with serial number along tang. Stock with Prince of Wales grip, sidepanels that taper to teardrops, point-and-wave checkering about the wrist, and ending in a checkered butt with steel inserts at top and bottom, lightly engraved. CONDITION: Very good as rehabilitated. Barrels retain much of their bluing with thinning at high edges and toward muzzles, with associated other handling marks. Forearm is good with some handling marks and vibrant colors on interior, flashes on exterior. Action with strong case color on sides fading to edges and bottom where hand would have made contact while carrying in the field. Tang somewhat softened from rebluing. Wood is very good, somewhat dry, with normal handling marks throughout, but free of cracks or chips. A lovely example of ingenuity in the field of shotguns.
CORRECTION: Upon review, the gun shows evidence of restoration including rebluing and a possible restock.
