Manufactured 1965; during this time frame, Browning used a mixed named-and-number grading scale rather than just numbers, with Pigeon being a step above the Grade I. Barrels with narrow ventilated rib, steel forebead and white plastic mid bead, with added fiber optic front sight. Top of rib with anti-glare matting. Right side of barrel with ".410-GAUGE-SHELLS 3" - MADE IN BELGIUM", "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY" on left. Left side of chambers with "**" and "**-" for Modified and Improved Cylinder chokes. Browning sliding round nose game forearm with Deely latch, point pattern checkering. Receiver engraved in standard pigeon grade with pair of pigeons on either side with accenting scroll and wonderful oak leaf carved fences. Non-automatic safety, single selective mechanical trigger. Stock of a restrained, straight grained, lightly fiddlebacked walnut with round knob long tang configuration, ending in a Browning composite buttplate. CONDITION: Barrels retain virtually all of their bluing with very minor marks from handling and use; most noticeable where forearm reciprocates along bottom barrel and a spot of minor inactive oxidation along left side of rib. Engraving is crisp but slightly softened by an impression of some chemical that has formed tendrils. Stocks are very good, free of cracks of chips, and showing superficial scratches to finish and light marks from the field, mostly on right side of comb. Mechanically fine, ejectors are in time, bore excellent with some minor evidence of firing toward chambers. Ready to go upland!
