Features include a 42" round barrel in .69 Smoothbore with front sight integral to front double strapped barrel band. Standard configuration stock complete with iron mountings and brass "Sea Fencible" buttplate. Reconverted to flintlock. Barrel is marked with "JM / P" proofmark near breech. Lock is marked "U.S. / (crossed olive branch and arrow) / E. Whitney" ahead of hammer with "NEW / HAVEN / 1833" behind hammer, written vertically. CONDITION: Good, with iron assemblies turned a freckled gray patina with heavy use evident near breech. Barrel has had a new breech plug installed. Stock and forearm are very good with light handling marks, sanded and finish added, and large repair near right side of wrist. Action is in need of attention as hammer does not advance all the way forward. Bore is dark.
