German over/under rifle shotgun combination gun (Bockbuchsflinte) made by Heinrich Krieghoff, Suhl, Germany in 1928. Gun made for export with "Made in Germany" marks on frame. Blued 26" Nitro Proofed Krupp steel barrels with rare matted factory ventilated rib, extractor, bead blade front sight, double rear folding notch sights, and marked "HEINRICH KRIEGHOFF GUN& RIFLE MAKER"/ "SUHL, GERMANY". Full coverage line border/vignette engraved hammerless sidelock action with double triggers front being a set, cocking indicators, Kersten style double lugs and tang safety with floral engraved steel trigger guard. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock without cheekpiece and with horn buttplate. Matching checkered walnut Anson and Deeley Merkel style 3-piece forearm. Comes in modern Armsport trunk case. CONDITION: 90% original barrel blue with light edge wear. Action has bright original coin finish with sharp engraving. 90% original hand rubbed finish remaining with checkering starting to flatten from use with some minor dings and scratches. Good bores and mechanics. A unique and unusual gun.
