German Mauser sporting rifle made circa 1920 by Sempert and Krieghoff under the Haenal patent in Suhl, Germany. Blued tapered "Bohler Stahl" 23" barrel with matted sight plane, ramp front sight, fixed 2 position rear sight, and marked "SEMPERT & KRIEGHOFF" and "SUHL I. THUR". Stippled finish action fitted with double set triggers, steel trigger guard, button operated detachable steel floorplate, spoon handle bolt and 3-position safety. Checkered walnut sporter stock with European style sling swivels and smooth steel buttplate. CONDITION: 90% original blue with edge wear, receiver worn silver along with metal on carry areas. Stock shows usage marks with traces of original varnish and checkering starting to wear flat. Good bore with crisp mechanics.
