Pre-War rare German "Doppelbuchsdrilling", a double side by side rifle surmounted by shotgun barrel configuration, made in Koln, Germany by Robert Schuler circa 1939. Blued 22 - 3/4" Nitro proofed Bohler steel barrels with side by side rifle barrels in 9.3x74R with a 20 gauge shotgun. Matted rib with raised ramp front sight, flip notch rear sight, and claw scope mounts fitted with Zeiss "Zielvier" scope with post reticle. Shotgun barrel is choked Modified with 2 - 3/4" chamber. Kersten style case hardened sidelock action with full coverage vignette engraving, cocking indicators, scalloped rear action, Kersten style crossbolt, tang safety with tang barrel selector, double triggers (front a set trigger) and steel trigger guard. Checkered European walnut pistol grip stock with cheekpiece, steel grip cap. Matching checkered walnut splinter forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 90% original barrel blue with scratches and hunting nicks. Action has bright silvery finish. Stock has traces of hand rubbed finish with extremely light handling marks. Good bores, optics, and mechanics; set triggers out of adjustment.
