The Cape of Good Hope General Service Medal was awarded to members of the Cape Colonial Forces who took part in 3 campaigns in and around the Cape of Good Hope. The lot consists of: (A) CGHGSM engraved with upright serif capitals "TRP A. SWINNERTON. .D.E.O.V.R.". Swinnerton is listed in the records and is noted as a member of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Own Volunteer Rifles. He was awarded the CGHGSM with Bechuanaland clasp as this medal displays. CONDITION: A tag is attached to the back of the ribbon with Swinnerton's name. Very good overall. (B) CGHGSM engraved with upright serif capitals "SERGT. H.T. BRIGHT. C.T. VOL. ENG.". Bright is listed in the records as "HF Bright" and is noted as a member of the Cape Town Volunteer Engineers. He was awarded the CGHGSM with Transkei clasp as this medal displays. CONDITION: A tag is attached to the back of the ribbon with Bright's name. Light patina, good overall. (C) CGHGSM engraved with upright serif capitals "PTE H.P. MOLLER. C.T. RIFS". Moller is listed in the records as a member of the Cape Town Rifles. He was awarded the CGHGSM with Bechuanaland clasp as this medal displays. CONDITION: Light patina, good overall.
