The Khedive's Sudan Medal was a campaign medal awarded by the Khedivate of Egypt to both Egyptian and British forces for service during the reconquest of the Sudan. The lot consists of: (A) Khedive's Sudan Medal Named in Roman capitals to "4593. CORPL WM DUNCAN 1ST SEAFORTH HIGHLRS". The medal displays the Khartoum and The Atbara clasps. CONDITION: Light patina, good overall. (B) Khedive's Sudan Medal Named in thin capitals to "No 4046 PTE E. SHINGLER 1. I I. STAFF. R". The medal displays the Hafir clasp. A tag is affixed to the reverse ribbon with Shingler's name. CONDITION: Faded ribbon, good overall. (C) Unnamed Khedive's Sudan Medal with Gedaref clasp. CONDITION: Very good. (D) The Queen's Sudan Medal was awarded to British and Egyptian forces that took part in the Sudan campaign. Queen's Sudan Medal named in upright square capitals to "4592 PTE. G. YOUNG. 2/R. BDE." CONDITION: Good overall. (E) Queen's Sudan Medal named in upright square capitals to "4351. PTE J. MEADE. 1/LIN: R." CONDITION: Good overall.
