German over/under rifle shotgun combination gun (Bockbuchsflinte) made by Carl Stiegele, Munchen, Germany circa 1930. Blued 26" Nitro Proofed Krupp steel barrels in 16-gauge over 8x57JR with matted sight plane, maker's name in gold with gold rings at breech, bead blade front sight, folding notch rear sight, and fitted with quarter rib mount. Full coverage vignette engraved hammerless scalloped action with Kersten single lug locking system, double triggers (front set), cocking indicators, tang safety, horn and steel trigger guard, added finger lever, and folding tang peep sight. Checkered walnut horn capped pistol grip stock with cheekpiece, horn buttplate, and engraved bullet trap. Matching checkered walnut Anson and Deeley forearm. Comes in leather trunk case. CONDITION: 90% original barrel blue with light edge wear. Action has bright original coin finish with sharp engraving. 90% original hand rubbed finish remaining with checkering starting to flatten from use with some minor dings and scratches. Good bores and mechanics.
