Circa 1930s. A nice European game gun with 25 - 1/2" barrels. Good for upland bird stalking. Barrels are built with 2 - 1/2" chambers, and are non-ejector, and are fit for side clips. Barrels are fit with a matte concave tapered rib with a round steel front bead sight. Rib with extension for cross bolt and bottom rib with loop for sling. Chokes are Full in left barrel and Modified in right. Rounded boxlock action with crossbolt, side clips, top lever with checkered thumb, engraved and serrated slide safe. "S" in gold. Gun is non-auto safe. Muted coin finished action engraved with handsome and elegant floral scroll and game scenes of hunting dogs and a brace of flying pigeons. Action is built with double triggers. Triggers are protected by a matched floral scroll engraved trigger guard with hunting dogs on the run. Guard extends to a long bottom strap that is also floral scroll engraved. Dark European walnut stock with slender straight hand grip with smooth English flat top checkering is fit with a loop for sling and finished by a horn serrated butt plate. Matched splinter forend with smooth checkering is fit with an Anson styled forend tip and a fancy gold inlay of initials "HMB". Gun comes in a leather "Parker" case with outer cover. CONDITION: Good. Barrels with indications of use and are somewhat off face. Action is sound and triggers are also good. Stock is good with many handling marks. Forend is good. Case is good.
