Pre-War rare German double side by side rifle with shotgun barrel "Doppelbuchsdrilling" made in Leipzig, Germany by J. or I.D. Moritz circa 1939. Blued 23 - 5/8" Nitro proofed Krupp steel barrels with side by side rifle barrels in 8x57JR to the left of a 16 gauge shotgun with matted raised ramp front sight on rib and flip notch rear sight with claw scope mounts. Shotgun barrel is choked Full with a 2 - 3/4" chamber. Case hardened action with line engraving, cocking indicators, scalloped rear, Greener style crossbolt, tang safety with tang barrel selector, double triggers (front set) and steel trigger guard with bottom marked "PATENT / FR WILH. HEYM / SUHL". Checkered European walnut pistol grip stock with cheekpiece, period solid rubber recoil pad, and engraved steel grip cap. Matching checkered walnut splinter forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 90% original barrel blue with scratches and hunting nicks. Action has bright vivid case color finish. Stock has traces of hand rubbed finish with extremely light handling marks. Good bores and mechanics.
