Approximately 800 produced from 1866 to 1870, with the majority of production built on brass frames. This blued iron example features a 28" octagon barrel chambered in .38 rimfire. Globe front sight with a ladder rear, the ladder missing its elevator. Stocked in plain walnut with a steel crescent butt plate. CONDITION: Very good overall. Blued finish has largely drifted to a dark, brown gray patina. Stock displays an age darkened appearance with scattered marks. Bore is frosted with well defined rifling. Mechanically fine. Matching serial numbers observed on frame, barrel, and lever components.
