German Vierling combination gun made for Georg Knaak Berlin, Germany by one of the period Suhl Gunmakers circa 1920, likely Meffert. Blued 25 - 1/2" Nitro proofed Krupp steel barrels configured with 16 gauge side by side barrels and 8x57JR rifle barrels on top and underneath; matted Knaak marked sight plane, ramped bead blade front sight, folding notch rear sight. Full coverage game scene engraved hammerless sidelock action with double triggers (both set), cocking indicators, side safety, and floral engraved steel trigger guard. Checkered walnut capped pistol grip stock with cheekpiece and horn buttplate with engraved bullet trap. Matching checkered walnut Anson and Deeley forearm. Comes in non-matching 2-gun trunk case. CONDITION: 90% original barrel blue with light edge wear. Action has bright original coin finish with sharp engraving. 90% original hand rubbed finish remaining with checkering starting to flatten from use with some minor dings and scratches. Good bores and mechanics.
