Model 8 semi-automatic rifle chambered in .30 Remington manufactured by Remington in 1929. The barrel bears Remington's 2-line address across the top, with the date code "PX" on the left side of the breech, indicating manufacture in June of 1929. Left side of the receiver bears the Remington trademark logo above "MODEL 8" and the serial number. Metal components are blued, with the buttstock and wood forend comprised of solid wood. Standard factory blade front sight, with factory "U" notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the receiver and barrel shroud. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some scattered nicks and some light superficial handling marks, as well as some very light scattered areas of surface oxidation overall. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting sharp and well defined lands and grooves throughout. Wood furniture show a couple of mild handling marks, but is otherwise fine. An excellent high condition example of Remington's iconic Model 8 rifle.
