Lot consists of: (A) British World War II-Post WWII medal group named to K.C. Kent, Royal Engineers. Kent's medals are nicely mounted and include his unnamed 1939 Star, unnamed Italy Star, unnamed Defence Medal, unnamed War Medal 1939-1945, and Military General Service Medal impressed "1894400 SJT. K.C. KENT R.E." with Palestine 1945-48 clasp which is confirmed in the rolls. There are also 5 athletic awards mounted with Kent's military medals, 3 of which are named to Kent. According to consigner notes, there were once 27 athletic awards accompanying the medals. Kent was born in September 1925 and enlisted in October 1943. He served throughout the rest of World War II and through the 1960s, finally discharged in 1965 at the rank of Squadron Serjeant Major after 22 years service. CONDITION: Medals exhibit a varying patina with scattered wear to ribbons. (B) World War I medal group consisting of a War Medal impressed "1892 SPR. D. CHEW. R.E.", 1914-1915 Star named on reverse "1892, / SPR. D. CHEW, / R.E.", and Victory Medal impressed "1892 SPR. D. CHEW. R.E.". Chew is listed under service number 1892, 500211, and 1611 with the Royal Engineers and the Royal Warwickshire Regiment. CONDITION: Medals exhibit a varying patina with slight blemishes to ribbons.
