The lot consists of: (A) Queen's South Africa Medal impressed in narrow sans-serif capitals to "22436 TRP: E.W. HOYES. SCOTTISH HORSE.". The medal displays the South Africa 1902, South Africa 1901, Transvaal, Orange Free State, and Cape Colony clasps. Copy of records included. CONDITION: Light patina, good overall. (B) QSA Medal impressed in narrow sans-serif capitals to "177 TRP: G. O'BREIN. SCOTT'S RLY: GDS:". The medal displays the South Africa 1902, South Africa 1901, Transvaal, Orange Free State, Defence of Kimberley, and Relief of Mafeking clasps. Copy of records included. (C) QSA Medal impressed in heavy square sans-serif capitals to " 7826 COPL C. DARLING, SCOT: RIFLES". The medal displays the South Africa 1901, Laing's Nek, Transvaal, and Cape Colony clasps. CONDITION: Patina to clasps, good overall. (D) QSA Medal impressed in heavy square sans-serif capitals to "9204 PTE J. MORRIS, SCOTS GDS:" The medal displays the South Africa 1902, Orange Free State, Modder River, and Belmont clasps. James Morris is listed to have deserted on 5/20/1900, rejoined, but not apprehended. Copy of records included. CONDITION: Light patina, good overall.
