The Khedive's Sudan Medal was a campaign medal awarded by the Khedivate of Egypt to both Egyptian and British forces for service during the reconquest of the Sudan. The lot consists of: (A) Khedive's Sudan Medal Named in Roman capitals to "4039 PTE. P. CURTIS, 2/R. BDE". The medal displays the Khartoum, The Atbara, and the Sudan 1897 clasps. Included records state that Curtis was severely wounded on 11/12/1899 during the Boer War at Ladysmith and again on 6/1/1900 at Ladysmith. He also received the Queen's South Africa Medal. A tag is affixed to the reverse with Curtis' information. CONDITION: Light patina. good overall. (B) Khedive's Sudan Medal Named in sloping capitals to "20691, Cpl. S. ROBINSON. R.E.". The medal displays the Sudan 1899 clasp. Included records list Robinson as a Sergeant with the Royal Engineers noting that he also received the LSGCM. CONDITION: Light patina, good overall. (C) Khedive's Sudan Medal Named in Roman capitals to "4897 Pte P. EUSTACE 1ST R.I.F.". Included records state that Eustace was a member of the Royal Irish Fusiliers and also received the Queen's South Africa Medal. CONDITION: No suspension, wear to medal.
