5 - 1/2" barrel with blade front sight and pinched rear sight on top strap. Distinct Remington "batwing" under barrel. "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION N.Y. U.S.A." across top of barrel. Left grip marked ".44 W" for .44-40 chambering. CONDITION: Overall good, nickel flaking at high edges, most distinct at cylinder. Loading gate replaced. Some chocolate patina coming up through nickel, most on top strap and scattered about frame. Grips are very good with some marks from handling and use. Mechanically fine, bore has visible rifling and pitting throughout.
