Circa 1944. Serrated ramp front sight, square notch flat top rear sight. Left side of slide with "REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A" rollmark. High Standard barrel with "HS" on right lug, "P" on left lug. Left side of frame with FJA inspector proof, "P" proof, subinspector marks, US Property and model designations, serial number, and crossed cannon cartouche, which appropriately shows burnishing where stamp broke through parkerization. Grips are Keyes fibres, mold numbers 15 and 21. Small parts comprise narrow checkered hammer, thick tab safety, short stamped trigger, checkered magazine release, serrated slide release, long 1911A1 grip safety, serrated mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Parkerized magazine release with "S" on baseplate lip and "C-S" on bottom of lip, indicating manufacture by Scoville. CONDITION: Overall very good+, retaining virtually all of the original parkerization with some handling marks from handling and storage and some minor silvering to high edges. Some oil staining that does not detract. Grips are excellent free of cracks. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with strong rifling and some minor frosting at the edges of the grooves.
