Extremely rare Remington-Beals single shot rimfire rifle made under Beal's Patent by E. Remington and Sons Ilion, New York between 1866 and 1870, with less than 800 estimated to have been made. Blued 24" half round/half octagon steel barrel in .32 rimfire with blade dovetail front sight and rear flip notch sight, marked with Beal's Patent and E. Remington and Sons address. Brass frame with case hardened iron operating lever and internal parts. Plain walnut stock with brass crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Overall good with blued parts fading to a plum patina and some light surface pitting starting to form. Brass faded to a dark golden yellow. Case colors have faded to a silvery patina. Good bore with visible rifling and good mechanics.
