Military & Police Model of 1905 double action revolver manufactured by Smith & Wesson. The top of the barrel bears Smith & Wesson's 2-line address, with "SMITH & WESSON" on the left, and the caliber designation on the right. Right side of frame bears the intertwined "S&W" trademark logo. Major metal components are blued, with the trigger and hammer featuring a case color hardened finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut S&W logo medallion grips. 6" barrel with half-moon front sight and frame notched rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame, rear face of the cylinder, and are handwritten in pencil on the interior of the right grip panel. This example is accompanied by an original factory cardboard box that does not match. CONDITION: Extremely fine, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory applied blue finish, with the exception of some extremely light edge wear and an extremely light dragline on the cylinder. Trigger and hammer both retain vibrant case coloring, with light wear through to gray on the face of the trigger. Brilliant mirror bore, retaining well defined lands and grooves throughout. Grips are excellent, with some mild smoothing from handling. Box shows mild superficial wear from handling and storage, and is otherwise sturdy and serviceable.
