Built in 1884 at the Copenhagen Arsenal in standard configuration for the upgraded 1867/96 model. Standard Danish markings on major parts, with crossed cannon marking on barrel and receiver. This is thought to be a Danish marking dating after circa 1896 when Denmark transferred these guns out of infantry use and into use by fortresses and coastal artillery units. Replacement US-marked military buttplate. Matching serial numbers at barrel and tang of stock. CONDITION: NRA Excellent. Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
