Manufactured between 1863 and 1888. German silver half moon front sight and a V notch rear sight on an octagonal barrel. Single action 6 shot non-fluted percussion cylinder with 2 piece wood grips and a brass trigger guard. 3 line address on the top flat of the barrel. "PATENTED SEPT. 14, 1858 / E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION NEW YORK U.S.A. / NEW MODEL". Matching serial numbers on the lower flat of the barrel and on the grip strap under the left grip. CONDITION: Gun has no finish and is a gunmetal gray. There is pitting scattered across the gun. Fair bore with some pitting in the lands and grooves. Left grip has a small chip at the toe.
