Manufactured 1970. Serrated slope front sight and square notch rear sight. Left side with Colt's MK IV / Series 70 rollmark, right with Government model rollmark. Normal Colt proofs. Fully checkered walnut grips, golden Colt medallions, checkered polymer cover for mainspring housing. Small parts comprise lightened commander style hammer, serrated slide release, safety, magazine release, and short trigger. Long 1911A1 grip safety. Full blued magazine. In Colt faux wood grain box with styrofoam insert with manual, hang tag, and associated Colt paperwork. CONDITION: Excellent retaining virtually all of the factory bluing with some minor marks from handling and use, including some light silvering to operational areas. Grips are very good with some minor marks and a couple very minorly abraded heads. Mechanically fine, bore has strong visible rifling and some oxidation in grooves from use. Box is very good with some age related distress and peeling but complete.
