The small framed 12 bore hammered action with cross bolt and side clips is finely engraved with scrolls and has "W.P. JONES" in a ribbon. Action bottom engraved with scrolls and with a standing pigeon in a field. The gun's single trigger is protected by a blacked engraved small trigger guard which extends to a long scroll engraved bottom strap. Bottom strap is also engraved "14117". The dark and smoky figured English walnut stock has been built with drop points, a checkered English straight hand grip, silver oval, and finished by a dark brown leather covered pad. Dark snap splinter forend with engraved pin, escutcheon release tab, and scroll engraved exterior iron metal. The gun resides in a British tan leather VC case with snap caps and cleaning equipment. Case lid with replica paper trade label and charge card. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels are very good with light handling marks and are clean. Action and trigger are good. Stock is very good as renovated. Forend is good with signs of use. Case is very good with signs of use and storage. Would make a nice Hammer Pigeon gun.
