Standard configuration Type 14 Nambu manufactured at the Toriimatsu Small Arms Factory of Nagoya Arsenal in November of 1943. The left side of the frame bears Kanji characters denoting the model designation, with the right side bearing the Nagoya arsenal insignia, Series II symbol, and serial number above the date code "18.11". Metal components are salt blued, while the bolt and locking block are only heat treated, which is standard for Toriimatsu Series II production Type 14s. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved wood grips. All numbers are matching and include the frame, trigger guard, trigger, magazine catch, upper receiver assembly, cocking knob, bolt, firing pin, firing pin extension, locking block, grips, as well as the magazine. CONDITION: Extremely fine, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some minute superficial marks from handling and storage, as well as a couple areas of very light edge wear. Grip straps and trigger guard exhibit some extremely light areas of surface level oxidation. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting sharp and well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent, exhibiting a couple minor nicks and marks from storage and handling. An exceptional example of a Toriimatsu Series II Type 14 Nambu.
