Very nice Model 1929 Luger manufactured by Waffenfabrik Bern in September of 1936. The left side of the frame is stamped with a Swiss Geneva cross above "M" indicating inspection by Major Muhlemann, followed by the serial number, with the rear of the frame bearing Waffenfabrik Bern's "WF" logo. Toggle bears the Swiss Geneva cross within a shield. Interior of frame is date stamped "10.36" in the front well, with the rear well exhibiting a "(Rifle)/ N" proof (also present on the underside of the receiver), indicating sub-contracted manufacture by SIG Neuhausen. Metal components are blued, while the frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered red plastic grips. All numbers are matching and include the frame, barrel, receiver, as well as the rear toggle link. This already very attractive example is accompanied by a Swiss brown leather holster containing 1 additional red plastic bottom magazine. Holster is stamped "K. SALZMANN / 1944 / HERDERN" on the rear, with a boxed "L / (Swiss Geneva cross)" acceptance proof on the interior of the flap. CONDITION: Fine, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their Swiss arsenal applied blue finish, exhibiting a few small spots of wear, a few minor handling marks, as well as some extremely light surface oxidation on the grip safety. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting sharp and well defined lands and grooves throughout. Red plastic grips are excellent. Holster shows some minor wear and discoloration, but is otherwise fine. An extremely attractive example of a Swiss Model 1929 Luger.
