DSM34 manufactured by Mauser for commercial sales. The receiver is stamped with the Mauser Banner logo over the chamber, with commercial proofs, the serial number, as well as Mauser's manufacturer information present on the left. Left side of barrel bears the caliber designation followed by the serial number, and additional crowned commercial proofs. Right side of buttstock bears an encircled "RFSS" proof, indicating issue to the Reichsfuhrung. Metal components are blued, while the stock and handguard is comprised of solid walnut. All numbers are matching and include the receiver, barrel, bolt, stock, as well as the handguard. Rifle is mounted with proper period leather sling. CONDITION: Metal components retain good amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to brown and gray patinas. Brilliant mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Stock exhibits numerous mild marks, dings, and minor impressions from storage and handling, but is otherwise fine. Sling exhibits age related cracking and areas of crazing and should be handled with care. Sling is torn at the end, with the torn piece still present. A desirable SS marked Mauser DSM34 training rifle.
