Made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1884. Blued Winchester 2-line address with King's Improvement marked 24" octagon barrel in .38 W.C.F. caliber with German silver blade front sight, notched adjustable Winchester 22K rear sight, and Winchester tang Vernier sight. Case hardened 3rd Model action with plain trigger and half magazine. Brass elevator factory marked with ".38 CAL" marking and professionally marked above caliber in script "1885 One Deer Oct 12" and ditto marks with other dates. Factory deluxe checkered stocks with case hardened trap crescent buttplate with original Winchester 4-piece steel cleaning rod inside. Comes with Cody Research letter that verifies all options except tang sight. CONDITION: 95% original barrel blue with light edge wear. 95% vivid case colors with areas of discoloration with fantastic screws. 95% original Winchester high luster varnish with sharp checkering and some dings and marks from usage. Most noticeable is a scrape on right side of the forearm. Good bore and mechanics. A great addition to a Winchester collection.
